Editorial Product Review:

Item Description:
Available in Green, Pink, Blue & Clear. Three central holes to aid breathing. Dr. Brux® is made of a special biocompatible, thermoplastic material, with two programmed degrees of hardness. The first (1), the softer of the two, is used for the parts of the Bite tray in contact with the external walls of the teeth and the gums, to give stability and comfort. The second (2), harder one, is used for support, to ease sliding of the teeth during grinding and for greater resistance to wear. Dr. Brux® can be remoulded several times without changing its physical and mechanical features. If the fit is not successful or your dental situation changes for any reason, dont worry: with Dr. Brux® you still have the chance to remould it. One size fits all, because Dr. Brux® can be adapted perfectly to a small or large mouth.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best Night Guard Ever!!!!
I've been searching for a good night guard for ages. Originally my dentist said I needed one and had one custom made for me. It cost me $[...] since my insurance didn't cover it. It worked okay for a little while until I stopped wearing it for a month. Well my teeth must have shifted in that time because it was really tight and hurt my teeth. That was the end of that night guard since it couldn't be refitted.
Next I found one at the grocery store (Dental Concepts Night Guard) and it cost around $[...]. It worked okay. It was the kind that you mold to your teeth and it was a soft rubber. It was also really bulky and unattractive and for some reason I had a tendency to bite down hard on it when I was going to sleep. It also made me salivate a lot and I couldn't really breathe through my mouth. But it was better than the one I got from the dentist and way less expensive. When I needed to replace that one I purchased the exact same thing but I think they must have redesigned it because it was even bulkier than before. I couldn't use it at all because the excess rubber in the back was making me gag. That was the end of that one.
Next I purchased one online (Stressgard) for $[...]. I didn't want to spend too much money so I was looking for one that was cheap in case I had to throw it away as well. Guess what, I threw it away after the first night. It was loose in my mouth and kept poking into my gums. It lasted about one hour before I couldn't stand it anymore and took it out.
I gave up for a while and then decide to go back to the one I purchased at the grocery store. Maybe it would be better this time. Well, my grocery store didn't carry it anymore so I went online to see if I could find it. That's when I found Dr. Brux. Amazon carried it but it was $49 and I didn't want to spend that much for something that would most likely fail me. The seller on Amazon didn't have a return policy so I decided to see if I could by it direct. That's when I found drbrux.com and they had a 21 day money back guarantee. They also had free shipping so what did I have to lose. So I did it. I spent $49 on a night guard. I received it two days ago and have spent one glorious night with it. Let me just tell you. It is PERFECT! It fits like a glove (just follow the instruction exactly). My jaw rests comfortably when I wear it (the last one I had made my jaw unnatural feeling). I can actually breathe through my mouth when I sleep and I don't salivate much at all. Other night guards suggest you wear them for a couple hours to get used to it. You are used to the Dr. Brux night guard instantly. Also, it's not really bulky at all. I love, love, love this thing. I'm going to tell my brother about it since he's been having the same trouble as me.
So that's my story. I wanted to share it with everyone because I'm sure there are people as frustrated at I was and I hope this helps. Thank you Dr. Brux for making this product available to everyone. You have a customer for life!

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It Works....
I purchased this item in May because I had wore my teeth down to nothing through night time grinding. I found this particular product through an Amazon seller, it was a little out of my price range, but it could be custom fitted to my mouth (while cheaper mouth guards just came in a standard size). It arrived fast, and performing the mold process is quick and easy: just heat water to a boil, attach the mouthpiece to the plastic part that it comes with, dip the mouthpiece in the boiling water for a few seconds, shake excess water off, put in mouth (it will be warm, but not scolding hot), bit down gently to get a custom mold of your teeth (this might take a few tries to get a perfect one) and rinse the mouthguard under cold water. The first couple nights of use took a little getting use to (sleeping with something foreign in your mouth- especially if you have never used a nightguard before.), but it did not interfere with my breathing, or wake me up from a sound sleep (just a little excess saliva, that's all). Just wash it under cold water the very next morning. Four months later, it has held up well and still doesn't interfere with my sleep. Yes, it's expensive and if your dental insurance covers the cost of one, go for it! My insurance didn't, so I bought it here; and I am not disappointed. I highly recommend the Dr. Brux Nightguard for people with Bruxism.
