My son received the Feel Better Cold Pack Lamb by Gund as a gift. I thought it was cute, but I wasn't sure that we would have much use for it. Now that he is 11 months old and trying to learn to walk, he falls and bumps his head a couple of times a day. He hates ice packs and won't let me hold one on any bump for more than 15 seconds. The Feel Better Cold Pack Lamb is the perfect solution. We call ours "Lambie" and we keep it in the freezer all the time. When the baby gets hurt and is crying his eyes out, we go to the freezer and get Lambie out. We tell the baby that Lambie wants a big hug so she can make him feel better. The baby is so busy hugging Lambie that he immediately stops crying.

This is a great distraction for a child that has frequent tumbles and falls that are not serious (which is any baby learning to walk!) The lamb is very soft and just the right size for a small child to hug and cuddle. It is also a very soft alternative to a traditional icepack that is often bulky and uncomfortable for small children.
