wish it had non skid seat
This works great for my 8 month old. I just wish he didn't slide forward during his bath. I have to keep on sliding him towards the back of the seat. I just recently cut a rubber bath mat to insert it on the inside and that seemed to work well.

Works great, but not for a texture-bottomed tub
This product works great to keep baby from slipping in the tub. It was hard to find, as it appears many stores don't sell this item anymore. I had one 13 years ago with my first baby and loved it. The only thing is that it will not stick in a tub that has any kind of non-slip texture (due to the suction cups not being able to hold). Baby's weight keeps it secure while there's water in the tub, but if she lunges after the water level has gone down, the whole thing tips over. Not good if you're not paying absolute attention (which parents should be anyway while their baby is in the tub).
It is easy to get baby in and out (my baby is 25 pounds, with chubby legs) and the little toys in front occupy her enough to get the bath done without her getting bored.

Good product
We purchased this bath ring since my son has outgrown his infant bath tub. The bath ring seems to be very well made, simple (which I like for the tub), and has plenty of space around your baby to be able to clean them easily. I would have given it a higher rating BUT ...
Somewhere on one of the product descriptions for this bath ring (can't find it now), the description stated that babies who can sit up "assisted" can use this bath ring, however, your baby needs to be able to sit up and balance well on their own. My son gets very excited during bath time and he slides all over in this chair as he's really just learning to sit up. There is a slight non-skid texture in the seat but it doesn't really help him at this point.
Also, reviews from other consumers are correct that you either need a tub that doesn't have a non-skid surface or a tub with very light non-skid (like ours) in order for this chair to secure to your tub. Even on our light non-skid, I make sure that 2 of the suction cups are on the area around the edge with no texture and it seems to help it secure better.
Regardless, the bath seat is put away for now, but we definitely plan on using it as soon as he is better able.

This light ring bathtub is sturdy and has enough space for chubby litte legs.
