Item Description:
The slim and light Polar WearLink 31 coded transmitter is compatible with all Polar Heart Rate Monitors. Comfort and functionality combined. The WearLink transmitter is one step towards the concept of functional clothing. The transmitter consists of an electrode strap and a connector. Its new clip-on mechanism ensures quick and easy wear the belt is easy to put on and take off. The WearLink transmitter adapts comfortably to the individual body shapes of the users. Whether you are out skiing or inside playing squash, the soft textile exterior feels like clothing on the skin no chafing or pinching. The transmitters textile strap is removable and machine washable. Coded technology for convenience. As more and more people use heart rate monitors today, preventing cross talk from other devices in group situations at the gym or when jogging with a friend becomes essential. With its unique coded technology, the WearLink transmitter blocks unwanted signals from other heart rate monitors, ensuring disturbance-free transmission of your heart rate data.

Amazon.com Item Description:
The Polar WearLink transmitter combines superior Polar technology with a new fabric design. The electrodes, which pick up the heart's signals, are engineered right into the fabric strap. The result is a superior fit for any individual body shape, providing revolutionary comfort and full freedom of movement. The transmitter's textile strap is removable and machine washable. Its clip-on mechanism ensures quick and easy wear, and the belt is easy to put on and take off.

Polar's coded technology ensures that the user picks up only their heart signal, and not the signal of another heart rate monitor nearby. With millions of HRMs in use today, there's a good chance that someone working out next to you may also have one on. Interference from any other HRM is now eliminated and an accurate signal is ensured.

About Polar
The first EKG accurate wireless heart rate monitor was invented by Polar back in 1977 as a training tool for the Finnish National Cross Country Ski Team. The concept of 'intensity training' by heart rate swept the athletic world in the eighties. By the 1990s, individuals were looking to heart rate monitors not only for performance training needs, but also for achieving everyday fitness goals. Today, the same concept of heart rate training is being used by world-class athletes as well as everyday people trying to lose weight. Polar is the leading brand among consumers, coaches, and personal trainers worldwide and the company is committed to not only producing the best products, but also being the leading educator on the benefits of heart rate based exercise.

Buyer Reviews
Average Buyer Rating: out of 5 stars

Customer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Comfortable, but pricey!
Note: I understand from a friend that Polar USA will take back old/warn-out sensors and send you a new one for $25 or so. You might want to check into that if your looking for a replacement that is out of "Juice".

This replacement sensor is comfortable, but they sure are pricey! I personally never found the old plastic sensors un-comfortable, and if my girlfriend's dog hadn't eaten my old one out of spite, I wouldn't have bought a new one! -Recommended

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Better than the original
I purchased this transmitter when a similar one I had stopped working correctly due to corrosion. This one is designed much better than the one that comes with the F11 watch. It's a pretty big investment, but I have found it to be invaluable!

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent Product from Polar
This is my favorite heart rate moniotor that Polar has made. Finally, no struggling to take it off....it is easy to slip on and off with the new hook design. I depend on it for accurate monitoring and it delivers. A great product.

Customer Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent
I bought this to replace my previous wearlink transmitter that my dog chewed up. I have to say that I am extremely pleased with this one. It is updated from the original one I received with my unit and it is more sensitive and fits more comfortable than the original wearlink. This is by far the most comfortable heartrate monitor transmitter available.
