Save the environment and save $$
Have bought two packs of "AA" and one pack of "AAA" at a Shopko near my house. I bought a Lacrosse battery charger to go along with them from Amazon.com. The charger cost 37.50. It will refresh older rechargeables and give diagnostic information also. We also use a Rayovac 15 minute charger with the 15 minute batteries and we love it. It has a fan to cool it when charging but still gets warm. They work great in digital cameras and portable CD's. We have saved hundreds of dollars on batteries. I wanted a battery that would last in slow drain devices such as Mp3's and remotes so wanted to buy the Hybrids to round out our collection we still use Duracell or other non-rechargeables in our smoke detectors and clocks. Hybrids would probably work fine in clocks.

Nice product but ridiculous shipping
I can't believe people are raving about the price of these batteries. For me the shipping cost was more expensive than the batteries, more than doubling the price. I don't think so.

Biggest bang for your buck!
I've been using these batteries for at least six months now and I have to say I'm VERY impressed with them. The low discharge rate beccomes very apparent if you've used other rechargeable batteries before. These just work! They don't have the life of an alkaline in run time but they are very close and when you consider you can recharge them repeatedly, they're well worth the money. I LOVE THESE BATTERIES!! I was going through a huge pack of AA's per month before buying them. I'm so happy to not worry that I may not have a battery on hand when I really need it. I rotate the huge amount of them I have to the charger as needed and I always have a fresh set of batteries for any occasion without worry. Lee the engineer gave a really good review of these and basically convinced me to buy them back when I first purchased. I don't know for the life of me why he only rated them as 4 stars when the batteries he compared them to - sony eneloops - cost more and performed almost the same.
These are by far the best rechargeable batteries I've ever used at anything close to this price!!

Wonderful innovative battery!
I have been buying rechargeable batteries from Walmart for a LONG time. I guess all my previous batteries were either Energizer (silver) or some generic Walmart (blue and green) brand. Mostly I was happy with them, though an occasional battery or set would be a dud. And true to the Rayovac Hybrid marketing, all these previous batteries had a very limited shelf life.
The Rayovac Hybrid batteries are a MAJOR improvement. I don't know what is the downside, if any. They really do seem like a cross between the life of an alkaline battery and the rechargeability of a NiMH. I don't know what more I can say other than Buy them! Ask for them! Demand them! Where are the Hybrids? Wonderful innovative battery! All other rechargeables should fall by the wayside.
