Editorial Product Review:Item Description:Recommended by dental professionals, the family oral irrigator effectively fights gingivitis by cleaning where brushing and flossing can't reach. Pulsating jets of water - 1,200 per minute - reach and deep clean between teeth and under the gum line to reduce harmful bacteria. Can be used with water, mouthwash or any anti-bacterial rinse, and is safe for use with braces, crowns or bridgework. There's a button to control pressure, increasing or decreasing depending on the person, and a button to pause water flow. Comes with four color-coded jet tips so each person knows which one is his or hers, perfect for the entire family. Also included is a tongue cleaner to freshen breath.

Waterpik
It's much more entertaining than regular flossing. And once you learn how to use it properly it makes a wonderful difference in gum health and freshness of breath. I would recommend it to anyone who needs extra dental care.

Repeat user
Upon recommendation from my dentist I have been using Waterpik for about three years. Recently the supply tube broke off at the joint and there was no way for me to fix it. This is the reason that made me buy a replacement at Amazon which works well.

Engineering gone amuk
I purchased this "Water Pic" as a replacement for one that was about twenty years old. The old one still worked, but the plastic hose leaked, and got water everywhere. They changed the design of the new one and it's not only harder to use they moved the location of the plastic hose to the right side of the machine making it almost impossible to use by a left handed person without turning the machine every time it's used.
They also changed the way the tips get inserted into the end. Before they just pushed in, and now you have to pull down a collar, insert the tip and them raise the collar.
They made a simple machine that was extremely easy to use much more difficult. I wish I could have just bought a new plastic hose.
