This works exactly as claimed. The only issue I had was that the hinged top-cover no longer sits solidly when closed. I rigged the lid with some of the rubber-like packaging included in the lighter and it now closes and sits properly. Other than that, it has worked without flaw.

Upon receiving this product I filled it with a quality lighter butane, put the insert in the Zippo case, and hit the button. Nothing. Could not get the thing to work. I wrote the distributor I bought it from and they immediately sent me a new one. That one didn't work either. This thing is not complicated. It just didn't work. At all. No flame. Ever. Nothing. I could see a spark and hear gas escaping, but it absolutely refused to light. I again contacted the distributor and they suggested I remove the flame adjuster tab and play with different settings. Did that, and still nothing. The distributor gave me my money back, but the z-plus is a complete waste of time. Oh yeah, not only did the second one not work, but it did not have enough tension on the Zippo case to keep the lid from flopping around when closed.

The only complaints I have with this insert is that the flame only works when its turned up all the way, and the flame goes out when windy. but if you want a torch flame in your Zippo then you don't have any other choice. Its recommended.

This insert is amazing,It gets the job done at any time of day, and so far in any condition, The blue flame may turn white on a really windy day, but it works better than the normal zippo, with out the funny taste from the traditional gas or the smell, it works perfectly in my zippo. A+
